My School Musical...
is a story of love, friendship, betrayal and most of all, bullying. Alec learns at the start of the show that he has to move to 'another new school. At RAPAG High, Alec discovers a whole new world. When he is dropped into the world of theatre.
Introduced to Alec is Emily, the intelligent and sensitive student, who straight away builds up a very strong friendship.
However, as usual, Emily's sister, biker, Tina isn't at all pleased with the arrival of Alec, so therefore threatens him. She demands to know his 'secret' why he moves schools so often. Her gang terrorise Alec throughout.
Tina discovers that her so called friend Maggie also likes Alec and wants to befriend the 'new boy'. Tina is mortified at this point and therefore accuses Maggie of betraying her. Throughout the play, Tina and her gang continue to torture Alec and make his life a misery. One day after rehearsal of the 'school musical', Tina pulls Alec behind and her gang attack him throwing his books and defacing his equipment. Devastated, Alec is left with nothing.
The closing number (Everything I do) shows Alec's feelings. This song explains how Alec feels towards the bullies and that he will NOT be threatened by the thugs anymore, hence 'I'll never hide away, you can't hurt me...'.
